Overview
The Barrington Fire Rescue is an combination (full-time/volunteer) department providing fire protection, emergency medical, vehicle rescue (extrication), hazardous material response, search and rescue, and other emergency services for the citizens of Barrington. The Barrington Fire Rescue Chief is a full-time position with two full-time firefighter-EMTs working day shift.
We operate out of one station located on 774 Franklin Pierce Highway (Route 9), with a complement of two engines, one tanker, one forestry unit, one ambulance, one rescue truck, one utility pickup truck and one small boat. In 2017, Barrington Fire Rescue responded to 687 medical calls and 410 fire calls for a total of 1,097 calls for service.
